Hubbell 5th graders have been busy working the last 6 weeks on their IB Exhibition, researching a topic, preparing a presentation, and taking action on that topic. 4th grade had a speaker today from Polk County Conservation to kick off our next unit of inquiry. She spoke to us about how rocks are formed and the different type of rocks that make up the Earth.
Hubbell students were treated with a visit by Iowa Author Coach Sloth. Coach Sloth played football for the Iowa State Cyclones, The Barnstormers, coached for the Barnstormers, had roles in several movies and has written 3 children books.
